About a year and a half ago now, I started playing around with the idea of getting back into designing again, maybe even making a kit in time for National Scrapbooking Day that year! I timidly started making a few papers and elements, figuring out how I used to do all the little things I used to do. I even finished the whole darn thing! And then I let that kit just sit there, sad and lonely, on my desktop.
Part of the reason for that was due to life being busy. I had the privilege of creating a Project Life collection for Becky Higgins that summer! And part of it was that we spent the fall driving up and down I-95–first to escape from Hurricane Irma, then to go on vacation with family in the Outer Banks, NC. Then, once we were home after our crazy adventure that September, we begin to get our house ready to put on the market. We sold our house in Florida in March this year (yay!) and in the mess and confusion of moving up to Pennsylvania, we forgot to renew my Sugarplum Paperie web site (boo!). Losing my site and shop put a major kink in my little plans! I wasn’t sure where to start.
When I began to think seriously about designing again, I showed my kit to my good friend Laura to ask her what she thought of it. The next thing I knew, I had an invitation to be a guest at The Digital Press for the month of November! (I guess she liked it? LOL!) That lit a fire for me to get to work putting together a totally new site–and here we are! Hooray!
So, today that pretty little kit is finally seeing the light of day as my first new release at The Digital Press this weekend! It’s a sweet and celebratory kit, aptly named Oh, Happy Day:
Inside this kit you will find 16 patterned and plain papers, 50 elements and a glitter alphabet with numbers. And you’ll find Oh, Happy Day is 30% off in my shop, all weekend long!
I’ve also made a little something for you to celebrate my Grand Re-Opening! Just click to download the coordinating Oh, Happy Day : Freebie:
Thanks for stopping by and as always, Happy Scrapping!
